Pro's
Still being made.
reasonable size game selection sort of don't let the fanboys fool you.
controller good for driving games not so good for fps imo.
moddable
I

cons
over priced when it first came out & now for it's age it still is.
most games are crap or lag offline like a wet dog.
online-to be fair it was an after thought..lol..
tho it can be modded which is great, to really get your moneys worth your better off with the xbox 1 or at the least have both

summary:
was ok in it's day online was fun tho lag was frustrating more due to the hardware & software than the servers themselves, one has too applaud Sony for continuing production even if most games are shite so a realistic 3 stars from me

What do I even say? This is an excellent console with a VAST selection of games for everybody and I never fail to find something myself and I my family will like with this console. Great graphics for its time and I have never had any problems with my playstation 2!

The controller is just excellent. It FAR surpasses any of the Xbox's or well any OTHER video game console out there. When I first got it it was a weird feel to the controller, but I quickly was enamoured of it's feel!

No doubt about it this is the best, most successful and legendary console of all time.

I bought mine used for $99 at EB games, which may seem expensive when you can buy it's Microsoft competitor (Xbox) for $39 it is SO worth that! I would have payed the extra $10 to get it new if I they had it in!

Like other people said, one of the best consoles made imo. It had a countless number of games, it was silent, and it was reliable. The PS2 had some of the best games ever made. If you don't own one, get one. Even with a next gen system, your sure to go play the games you missed on this console. Its also one of the smallest DVD Players you'll ever find.
Its still going strong at 8 years.

IT IS the best console ever made in my eyes. Everything about it is a classic, and the best part of it all is that it might go on for another 2 years.
HIGHLY recommended
