seeing as that the psp (and possibly many others) forums are being suffocated by newbies that ask the same question over and over could you make it so certain keywords in the posted thread name set off some alert to tell a newbie that before he posts a thread he should see if there is already a guide for the problem

I have an oddball request:

When recording with Fraps at 60fps, the video plays back smooth on my pc, but when i convert to 27.?? fps for dvd format, it looks jerky and hurts the eyes. Factory pressed DVD's are running at 27.?? frames, but look smooth.

Thats something ive been wondering for a while now.

Assuming we're talking about an NTSC DVD it will need to be converted to 29.97fps. Depending on how you're converting the framerate, a number of things could be happening. If you were to drop every other frame you'd end up with 30fps video, which is almost what you're looking for (29.97 = 30/1.001). For a very short video clip you might be able to simply slow down the video to the proper framerate and leave the audio alone, but for longer files this wouldn't work because you'd lose audio sync eventually. If you adjust the audio as well you shouldn't lose sync and it shouldn't be jerky.
