Quote: When asked whether the DS-TV could work in foreign companies, Nintendo made it clear that they had no plans to launch it anywhere outside Japan and that the cartridge would not work on European or North American DS's.
Why? :(

Thats dirty that they didnt make it work in other regions. They would have had some serious extra sales outside of Japan.

I think that is the point my friend, they cannot produce enough to supply the whole World, at this time .. ;)
To work in the UK, it only requires every alternate line to be suppresed .. :)

um... it would be useless in the us since everyone switches over to all hd broadcasting! & the ds probably isn't fast enough to down convert te hd into a lower resolution!

I believe that all the channels are already in HD in Japan. I wonder if DS can handle that.

Maybe Nintendo do not want to end up like Sega (releasing Sega Saturn outside Japan which was a failure)
