'Best of Halo' Xbox 360 bundle headed to Europe

Microsoft has confirmed a new Xbox 360 Pro bundle for Europe today that will play to one of the system's biggest strengths, its blockbuster Halo franchise.

Beginning on February 29th the new "Best of Halo" Xbox 360 Pro Bundle will go on sale around Europe with �Halo Wars�, "Halo 3", and an Xbox 360 Pro video game system plus a wireless controller. The suggested retail price is �269.

The "Halo" franchise, now in its fourth installment, is a billion dollar franchise and is an Xbox exclusive. Halo 3, released last year, made over $300 million USD in sales in its first week of release and was even blamed for Hollywood's poor showing in October.

The bundle will be available in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Slovakia, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Republic of Hungary, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

This actually got my hopes up. I thought this was going to be a combination of the various actual boards from Halo 1, 2, and 3. [ + quote]

I would think that a "Best of Halo" pack would include the first Halo, not Halo 3... Halo 3 sucked, period. Overhyped. I thought the first one was way better... If they made a 360 bundle with Halo:CE I think I would actually consider buying a 360, just for that :) [ + quote]

They did do a hell of a job marketing it though before release date. The thing I was most dissapointed about was with the "slightly" improved graphics, and almost same repetative gameplay. Both Gears and Halo are hugh fanchises on their own. Gears started off great, so did Halo, just that Halo 3 didn't live up to all its hype. This bundle is to compete head on with Killzone 2, since EU enjoyed the first KZ more then US, to hopefully sway EU gamers to not purchase a PS3 with Killzone 2 and instead to get this bundle. We'll just have to wait and see if this move of MS will be effective. [ + quote]

Lets get something set straight here if you didnt have Xbox live you loved halo 3 if you did have xbox live and you played halo 3 excessivly you hated bungie so much for the games online gameplay and the lack of them trying to approve it properly. If they had fixed the online gameplay at launch i dont think people would have talked so much shit about halo 3. The single player was one of the best a game offered. So please dont knock it too much especially if you wearnt a online player [ + quote]

Hey Morreale I'm betting that you didn't even play the game set on Legendary cuz if you did then you would have noticed the difference in not only gameplay versus the easier modes but also the ending which you hate so much. Let me spell it out for you... Master Chief didn't die...and there is going to be another story with him in it. And if you take the cue from Bungie, they said that they always intended for MC to be the hero in Marathon. If you are at all familiar with Marathon then you will notice how it begins meshes perfectly with the ending in Halo 3 on Legendary which by the way can watch at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yygn_vlH5a4 [ + quote]

It's just harder lol And yes if Halo 3 really was the last one then yes the ending was just horrible. Jumps on a ship and freezes himself or whatever and that's the end of that. [ + quote]
