Halo 3 makes over $300 million USD in first week

Definitely did not beat my expectations. Its just a bloated Halo 1 with better graphics, and online if you've never had the Mac/PC version. Better then Halo 2, but not as good as the first. That's my opinion.

I do wonder though how the next Halo will play out... It won't be called Halo 4 or anything to do with Halo but I think it would probably be even better. If they don't come out with a 4th(I'd assume it would be based on how Master Chief makes it back to earth), then it had a very crappy ending. Although the last level was good :)

Halo 1 was terrible compared to the other two. First off, Halo 1 was all about power ups. Thats all. Physics were terrible, and it looked ugly as shit. Don't get me wrong, Halo 1 was fun and an amazing game...but come on, Halo 2 was definitely better. Halo 3 isn't quite what I wanted it, but it's what would please the masses.
I love reading other forums though, how bout you guys? Everyone dissin' Halo 3....well, uh...hmm...why did so many people buy it than? Yeah. ok

For me Halo 1 is still the best, it was fun, 2 was a rush job that needs finishing and 3 feels it was rushed and then sewn up for a quick end...

Halo is the star wars of FPSs roving mad fans but lil substance in the meat of it, still its a good game(H1-7,H2-6,H3-6,on PC add 1 point) that still retains some fun from 1.

This is really sad, halo is a joke and not much of a good skill FPS.although most retards that buy a 360 only for this game are... well retards. they can just wait for it too come out on pc

I would not call Halo 3 a killer app. In my opinion its still not better then Gears of War. If Gears had a longer storyline and better online play that game is the 360's killer app. I ended Halo 3 and was like ok is this all this game has to offer. I just look at it like this its not a bad game and is made better then majority of the games since the 360 has been out but its not a killer app its more hype then a killer. Just not what i thought it would be plus it still looks damn near the same as the last one with slightly more colors.

damn straight.halo 3 is fun but its not a good game.btw ps3 does have killer apps:motorstorm,gran turismo,resistance,warhawk :D play em all.and btw halo wars is gonna be nice(age of empires style wit good graphics)

So many people bought Halo 3 because of good advertising. M$ basically brainwashed my friends into buying it... although they like it but they only play online. I asked them and they say it didn't beat expectations but it's still ok. I asked some guys at my school and they basically agreed that it was nothing special, and it was a horrible way to end the story.

Although i don't like Microsoft's Xbox system that is some impressive numbers so congrats have to go out. :) Well done :D
