$99 iPhone discount is back

$99 iPhone discount is back AT&T has decided to continue its previous discount on the iPhone 3G, selling refurbished models of the popular smartphone with a $100 USD price cut.
The 8GB iPhone 3G costs $99 with a two-year contract and the 16GB version sells for $199. AT&T does note however that some of the handsets may have minor cosmetic "scratches."

"iPhones were either unused or lightly used and were returned during their 30-day trial period. The phones may have minor scratches but otherwise are in great condition," added the carrier.

There was no word on why the sale was back but most analysts have predicted that AT&T simply wants a boost in sales for the next quarter in light of the current economic recession.

iPhone 3G $99/8GB $199/16GB NEW @ BB for Silver Reward Zone members, starts 2/22

Best buy is giving a $100 instant discount for silver premier reward zone members. These are NEW! As usual it requires a 2yr new contract, add a line, or be eligible for upgrade and a 30 or 45/month data plan.

and you totally just answered one of my questions...that is if i could just walk into best buy or some place like that and get the phone for 99, almost sounds tempting especially since i already have cingular/att and could actually benefit from the data package. but whats the different between the 30 and 45 plans? i thought the 30 was unlimited data anyways? so does the 45 add unlimited text in there or something?
