Microsoft will be shipping a limited edition Xbox 360 bundle that will include an Xbox 360 Elite console, and two popular titles, Halo 3 and Fable II, starting in May. It's $400 price tag is the normal price of an Xbox 360 Elite console on its own. A previous bundle included Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda, two family-friendly games that could boost sales during the holiday season.
Now with two M rated games, it would appear Microsoft is trying to build in an area where it is already strong, with what is arguably a better deal. The box also bears the Netflix logo, as Microsoft has managed to keep the movie streaming service exclusive to the Xbox 360 console, while the PlayStation 3 (PS3) supports Blu-ray Disc.
The bundle might give Microsoft the edge with some gamers looking to choose between a PS3 or an Xbox 360, as it includes two popular games whereas the $400 PlayStation 3 (PS3) does not. For a PS3 with a bundled game, you have to jump to $500 which will get you a 160GB Hard Disk Drive and a copy of Uncharted. Sony is rumored to be planning price cuts in time for E3, however.

I'm genuinely surprised that they'd offer Fable 2 instead of Gears of War.
People are still interested in Halo?

Buyer beware, I suspect that MS is trying to shift all of their pre-jasper elite units. When I was hunting for the new jaspers last year pros and arcades were flying of the shelves, some stores ran out completely. The elite's however sat and gathered dust and all had mfg dates from early 08, even a few from 07.
I have to say I'm surprised that MS is actually putting worthwhile games in a bundle for once, not Lego this or sonic that. Of course my inner cynic tells me the underlying reason is to shift old units that have been sitting for a very long time.

Well, they put halo wars in the bundle, that'll get them selling, but if you mod your 360, then elites aren't any use... they cost like $300 more then an arcade, and you can make the arcade better then the elite for under $150.
I really think that the GOTY award should of went to cod 4 again ( if possible)... definately not GOW (no offense, but i do not like gow). If not cod 4 again, then i think halo 3, if halo 3 was not only on 360, then ps3 would be kicking MS's ass. They really should recognise what halo 3 has done for them.
