MAYBE SO, But Sony still has the Shitiest line-up of games for the PS3's launch. Why cant they just learn from microsoft and get developers who know what kinds of games that normal people like they publish them. JESSSUUSSSS!!!!!

I guess "normal" people don't like Final Fantasy games. As with any system, the fan base will ultimately determine their success. Both systems have a very respectable number of fans out there, so only time will tell.

The xbox 360 is going to have final fanatasy and its going to be on xbox live for that matter and sony may never have final fantasy again because they pissed off aquare enix with them coming out with the slim- line ps2

Microsoft is going to catch up with sony because i got 1 word HALO 3 will be out in the summer of 2006 and that alone will sell a million xbox 360 systems by itself.The 360 will have a huge lead on sony and they are scared of what microsoft can and will do.Besides sony doesn't have any great online support and they will never be able to compete with the xbox live.The ps3 will be $100-$200 more than the 360 depending on which version you go with and if you are smart or have any sence then you'll get the $399 version that has all the xtra's.Also could this mean the end to the big N because after the revolution i don't think they will be able to compete with the likes of sony and microsoft and they will either follow in the path of the dreamcast and make games or follow the wishes of some people and help microsoft kill sony by letting microsoft buy them out as they have tried to do but nintendo wants to see if it can compete one last time before they die at least in the home console market but handheld is a different story

Say 1 company (i.e. Coke) makes a newer product (i.e Cokew/Lime), then automatically another company (i.e Pepsi) makes the exact same thing as Coke did. Well thats like what Sony and M$ r doing. So far they r pretty much tied with Xbox and Ps2, and in future will be tied with the 360 and PS3. But, Sony has a portable Playstation (PSP) and if my calculations work correctly, its only a matter of time before M$ makes a Xbox Portable (XBP????) just to match what Sony did and then either tie it in the portable race or even kick its ass.

1.It will function as a console, as previously thought.
2.It is being upgraded to include the functionality of a toaster and Swiss Army Knife

Well, Well, Well. I guess since PS3 is delaying until next year, I have some time to start saving up for it, but i dont think i want to spend $1100.00 right now.
($1100.00 is probably what it will cost since the system will be like $900.00 after taxes and then games, depending on how many u want.

Maybe or maybe not, but if i know Sony ( & i have for about 8 years now ) even after all the delays itll probably be at least $150 more than the xbox 360 premium package. The only way that Sony can make me a fan of their PS3 is if they do wat xbox 360 did and put about $200 of accessories in a package for about $549.99 U.S. ( Even though i live in Canada, itll be $649.99, but still a better price for the PS3 then ive been hearing up-in-the-north; examples $749.99, even $819.99 cdn just for the system and a controller) WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be surprised if they weren't way more expensive than the 360. The hardware is much more advanced. Who knows though - in 2007 maybe the cell processors used in the PS3 will be selling for what a Celeron sells at today. What I'm tring to get across is that the system isn't going to get any more expensive with a one-and-a-half year delay. It could only go the other direction. Where'd you hear it was going to be $750? The highest estimate I'd heard anywhere was $500. Also, $820 Canadian is actually quite a bit cheaper than $750 USD (as $820 CDN = about $680 USD).

I heard it from 1 of my friends uncle ( who works for many publishing and developing teams ex. Ubisoft, Bungie,(even worked on Call of Duty 2 for 360) ) and he told his cousin and then he told me. That and i quote " Prices for PS3 could no higher then $699.99US ". And then when you take that money & turn it into Canadian ( Which we always get screwed with our money ) its about $838.67Cdn, thats where i got the 820Cdn from. So any questions Now????????

So your friend's uncle who sometimes works on a development team for a company that worked heavily on a noteworthy Xbox 360 product and that sometimes works with Sony told his cousin, who told you that it would be no higher than $700. (I get that right?) All the better reason for the delay - prices can come down. Think about it though, if you were to try and buy a PC with the components used in the PS3, it would cost you thousands of dollars. Anything under $1000 is an incredible deal for customers. To stay competitive and plausible as a consumer's console, though, it would seem logical that they would wait until they could sell it at a price reasonably close to the other consoles, which is what they very well may be doing.

it was said that ps3 is 2x much better that the xbox 360 and 15x better than the nintendo revolution.... ps1 and ps2 games could still be played on it.... its not sure that the ps2 games would actually look much better that when played with a ps3...... its more online gaming 4 all they say..... and i believe it has a built in mp3... where u can upload music from the internet to ur ps3... sortof like a gaint ipod...

well the old one is bigger but the slime one has built in broadband modem and the new ones only use cable.

But the problem it heats upp alot so if you do get the slim get the add on where you stand it on edge and unplug it if you are not playing the system.
