At least Sony is thinking of future consoles instead of re releasing the same console over and over again and charging a higher price for it. I don’t see Sony doing a PS3 Elite. If MS put as much concentration into whatever the new Xbox will be called instead of the (2 years old) 360 they could have a console that would put anything Sony could even "think" of doing to shame. For now all they have is a older and weaker console that (for now) has more games and is cheaper.

You people and the no games thing. Bash Sony about the game thing after the PS3 is out for a year or more. Relax.... They're coming. I’m sure Sony knows they screwed up. I was dead set against the Xbox until Sony botched the launch of the PS3. I wanted to play games and I wanted to play them now so I had to get a 360. I couldn’t be happier with it. Sony is real close to losing me as a customer but I’ll pass my total judgment after a year or so to give them a chance to fix the issues they have. Until then I’ll play my 360 and keep a cover over my PS3 so it don’t collect a whole lot of dust.

Why do we keep going with the playstation name why cant they come up with something new. For ex. Gamestation. even taht is more exciting.

That was pretty stupid of them to even acknowledge that they were considering one. Now a lot of people wont get a 3 cuz they think that a 4, 5, or even 6 is around the corner.

What I meant was that people with a PS2 that are passive gamers probably would wait if they think that Sony is already thinking about PS4. That means Sony will probably not be putting as much effort into PS3 updates and such if they move their priorities over to development on PS4. I'm just saying that one would think that PS3 will soon be outdated if they know that Sony is already considering how to make a PS4. I'm not saying that just because there will eventually be a PS4, that people wont get a PS3.

No,take myself for instance i won't buy either new consoles now simply because i don't want to pay those prices,but i'd love a 360 as i like halo,so i'll end up getting the game when it comes down in price as well as a console for the same reason,you have to remember also the upgrades for the 360 and PS3 have'nt finished either

4 5 6? wth... 3 is a good system if only it worked right and was lower on price y talk about 4 let alone 5,6 i sudgest fixing the ps3 bugs first, their getting too bigheaded...yes sony is a great name and thats mainly what i buy but damn take a chill pill worrie bout ps3...........so far every ps3 i have played froze up on me real quick...even the stores display systems are froze and iv been to alot of stores.....out of all the ps3 iv seen out of the box only one was working fine and i didnt even get to play it myself.


as for a 360 i have one and i love it graphics are would like to compare ultimate alliance....have GoW and all i got to say is WOW...
the tv or monitor used to play these games help alot too...have a 52 wide HDTV plasma....game looks so life like i get nightmares bout it jk

however the PS4 is years off (like 4-6) and I have a feelign the Xbx 2 is 3-6 years off so in 5 or 6 years welcome to the 8th generation of gameing or whatever.them stating they are planing out another one is simply fact since console lines are remade every 4-7 years.


to me the PS3 is a strong system if they don't lower the price its going to have issues but one that price goes lower than 510$ it will sale reasonably well and then they can rebuild on it I doubt sony is dumb enough to bring out a "patch it console" PS4 like PS3 but minus BR that would kill them for sure,the PS3 is near prefect all it needs is a 30% price drop and more games.

I think this link is just fake. I read other places and he didnt say anything about PS5 or PS6. All I read was that the PS4 may or may not be out 2010.

I am not to shocked at what he says hes like a cheff part of a elite team that prepares meals hes a bit "eccentric" he dose well at what he dose but tends to piss others off at what he says and what he dose,this time he got to lead the team and few a fancy pricey meal to someone that just wanted a top qauilty hamburger fries and soda.

All in all its his job to work on and plan out a couple consoles ahead yes even 3 or 4 you have to put the look together sometime then build specs when you the tech is avalibale to you.
