MP3Lizard.com problems solved (again)

Written by Petteri Pyyny @ 16 Jul 2000 11:44

Our MP3 meta search engine had some major problems in past few weeks. These were caused by our source search engines had some changes.
First of all, our primary HTTP source blocked our access to their site. So that's bye-bye for MP3Bot.

Secondly, our Gnutella source is under constructions for now. We're looking for another Gnutella search engine to work with, but this takes a little bit time..

Third reason of problems was kinda good -- Lycos and some other FTP search engines added HTTP results to their engines and therefor our result sets were pretty empty for FTP results. Now we use these engines' HTTP capabilities as our primary MP3 source. HTTP results are generally much more stable way to find music than FTP.

Hope you like our new result sets and use our search engine a lot. All problems, please report them immediately to our webmaster.
