The long awaited version 5.0 of the DivX video codec has been released. The new version comes in two flavours: DivX and DivX Pro. The "plain" DivX version includes DivX playback compatibility, DivX Player 2.0 alpha, AMD and P4 optimizations, and standard encoding algorithms. The Pro version includes all that plus an Advanced Encoding alrorithm, and built-in video tools.
