AfterDawn's summer contest now open

Written by Petteri Pyyny (Google+) @ 21 Jun 2006 3:10 User comments (35)

AfterDawn's summer contest now open We wanted to cheer up the summer a bit by opening a free-for-all summer contest where you can win prizes from our business partners by simply being creative.
The contest is open to all our users (old and new), but obviously it requires you to have or create an (free, again :-) account to our site. Your task is simply to come up with a new slogan for AfterDawn.com website. You can enter the competition as many times as you wish -- obviously with a different suggestion each time.

This contest closes on 16th of July, 2006 and the winners will be announced by 8th of August. To take part in the contest and to see the list of prizes available (alongside the detailed rules of the contest), please go to this address:

Good luck!

You can enter the competition as many times as you wish -- obviously with different suggestions each time. does that mean i have to send in a new form for each suggustion, or can i just put multiple suggustions on one fourm?

It's easier for us if you submit each entry separately.

1522.6.2006 14:06

How many entries have you guys recieved so far? Just out of curiosity, are you guys already weeding though the entries, or are you going to wait till all the entries have been submitted? It'd be cool if at the end after would post some of the funnier entries :)

1622.6.2006 14:38

I posted twice.

1723.6.2006 1:12

So far we have received almost 400 entries. Keep 'em coming!

1823.6.2006 3:15

I though there would be like 4000 or something ;)

1925.6.2006 13:08

I posted fifteen times. Here and there submitting a rhyme.

2027.6.2006 11:26

I hope I win!!! Oh! I want my slogan to be up there, well one of them at least.

2129.6.2006 1:19

I dont get it I need an example

2229.6.2006 1:35

You can read examples of company slogans at, for example, http://www.rfcafe.com/vendors/company_slogans.htm Hope that helps. Keep on submitting your suggestions!

Its the result tomorow!! Good luck, all! :D

Hmmm....I designed a new logo. Probably got confused between slogan and logo when I came to think about the contest. Now, am I dumb or what? Is there a way I can submit the logo or should I just let it go? Thanks,

It's probably too late now. My computer broke down on saturday, so I had to post through my PC at work. So I could only check Afterdawn's forums today - which is, as I said, probably too late. Anyhow, I'd like to know... Thanks and have a good week,

Ah man, I wish I could remember the one I submitted. It went something like: Studies show 8 out 10 sex offefenders get their tech info from other forums. Afterdawn.com- home to only 20% of the world's sex offenders.

3130.7.2006 11:37

tokijin, whats the margin of error of your statistics?

3230.7.2006 15:35

Lol. Not real sure. + or - %5 let's say. With some of the post I answer, I can't help but wonder what these people do in their spare time.

I took a research methods class, and statistics, more than often, are unreliable... The credibility of the results are always put into question.

341.8.2006 18:19

Lol, I did last term as well, had to write a damn literature review of studies, the most boring, difficult crap I've ever had to do. You do realize this is complete sarcasm, correct?
