Nokia intros Lumia 710, Lumia 800 WP7 smartphones

Nokia finally gives us some Windows Phone 7 handsets.
The release of the Nokia N9 smartphone was a bitter-sweet event. On one hand, it was praised for its sleek design and simple (MeeGo) user interface. On the other, it's absence from major markets, along with the very uncertain future of MeeGo, served as the ultimate buzz kill to Nokia's party.

Today, Nokia has shown an evolution of the N9, featuring the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango mobile operating system. It comes in the form of two new smartphones, the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710.

That 800 looks pretty good to me. I don't think these phones will be flops; hopefully they'll give WP7 a better name. Currently have WP7 on my HD2, I don't know why everyone hates on it. It's nice and minimalistic. This is the only system my defective GPS works on too apparently so f*** all you critics :P

For my next phone I'm torn between either the Galaxy Nexus, Focus S, or Nokia Lumia 800. Form factor, the nokia wins hands down. But with specs they're at the bottom. Yes WP7 doesn't need it, but I would be settled on the 800 for sure, if they at least put 1GB Ram, larger battery, and used an RGB AMOLED instead of Pentile. The Nexus uses this too, but has a much higher resolution, and supposedly it’s not as vibrant as the display In the GS2. Or maybe I should wait for the GSIII….
