Matroska Splitter v1.0.2.9

Matroska Splitter is a DirectShow splitter for Matroska (.mkv) video files. You need this in order to open .mkv files.

Please note that this splitter is only capable of opening the Matroska container itself -- the actual video/audio found within the Matroska container can be virtually in any possible format, such as DivX5, so you need to download appropriate codecs as well. We recommend that you use AVIcodec or GSpot in order to determine the correct codecs. You can download codecs from here.

How to install/uninstall DLL and AX codec/filter files a.k.a.(Matroska Splitter)

1. Unarchive the package and use the files from Release folder if you're running Windows 9x/Me or Release Unicode if you're running Windows 2000/XP.

2. Copy DLL or AX files in system32 folder [ C:WINDOWSsystem32 ]

3. Click on Start > Run...

• To install the files, type: regsvr32 filename.dll or regsvr32 filename.ax
• To uninstall the files, use: regsvr32 -u filename.dll or regsvr32 -u filename.ax

There are no directions on this plugin's homepage at SourceForge.net, either. Here's how to install AX files in general:

I'm still looking for how to use this to split MKV files after installing it, though.
