DivX (Win98/ME) v5.2.1

DivX is a highly popular of the low-bitrate MPEG-4 standard. You need to have this codec installed in your computer if you want to watch or encode DivX movies. This version is the latest version of this codec and gives you the best picture quality.

This is the version for Windows 98 and Windows ME operating systems only -- if you wish to download the version for Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you can find it from here. Version found here is a 6-months fully functional trial of the commercial DivX codec.

Unfortunately file DivX521ME98.exe is NOT version 5.2.1 BUT is really version 6.2.2 so is NOT compatible with Win98 or ME !!! If you want DivX for Win98 this is not the one to download. If AfterDawn could find the correct version that would be great!

In Win98 SP2 this does not work. It unpacks then just says DivX cannot be used in Win98.
