The developer of the GUI really keeps things up. This program runs great. Backup of Blu-Ray to AVCHD for the WDTV HD player in my movie room is flawless. My 2 year old girl can get on without ruining a disc and watch her movies with perfect clarity. I really can't tell the difference between the backup and original. It would be nice to have the HD Sound, but my Player only supports AC3. Just for the Tech side of things, I recently built a new pc with a core i7 920 2.67ghz cpu, Corsair Dominator DDR3 pc1600 3gb, Asus Matrix GTX260 DDR3 876mb video, Silverstone 700watt psu, Corsair RAID0 SSD 64gbx2 drives. Ripbot goes FAST!
And most of all I am using Windows 7 RC 32bit and with the new integrated codecs and gpu utilization embedded in W7 it is even faster than vista32bit and only uses about 89% cpu! Pass1 was a consistent 32.88 fps and pass2 was consistant 13.78 fps at 1080p 8140mb
5.1ac3. I have used Coreavc codec with similar results= 31.44fps pass1/10.98fps pass2 vista64bit. Nothing can touch this program in my opinion. I have search for hours looking for free and paid software and still nothing with the pass2 and mb limit, speed,
ease of use, or reliability. Keep up the good work! Only thing that could someday compete would be Baddaboom h.264 if they added pass2, file size limit, xcopy audio stream.

Although this app lacks a lot of the user changeable options in the GUI others offer, I have had more successes with HD content video with this program. I've done the long route with HD-DVD & Blu-ray to .mkv and this app is a time saver, with comparable results. I would like to see a little more contrast on the GUI (for better readability), and a folder select option with the file select. With all that's out there this program is great. I have found little as beginner friendly, with final products like what I have struggled these few years to produce without it.

I converted a 1.36 avi. to PSP conversion and this proggy is actually very easy and does a REAL good job and quit fast.

As a test I also encoded a HD .mkv file that was 7gb and that took roughly 2hr which is also very fast and did an excellent job.

One of my favorite apps to convert movies to PSP is xvid4psp and I must say after testing RipBot264...this has quickly became my favorite.

There is no install (and I hate installs that im not familiar with) so feel free to check it out.

Thanks aD for bringing this to my attention :)
