Show Desktop Icons can add icons for Computer, User's Files, Network, Recycle Bin, Control Panel and Internet Explorer to the Desktop in Windows.
You can add these icons in other ways in the operating system, but in some versions (Home Editions), it may be more difficult. Also, some newer Windows Operating Systems don't make it as easy to add the Internet Explorer icon (not a mere shortcut) to the Desktop.
This portable app lets you add or remove icons from the Desktop by simply selecting them and clicking Apply.
