Free WiFi Hotspot is a useful tool that lets you setup a Wi-Fi hotspot using your Internet connected PC or laptop.

You could, for example, share a mobile broadband connection from a Windows laptop with other Wi-Fi enabled gear nearby, such as smartphones, tablets or other PCs.

You can set an SSID and password so that your gear can easily detect the hotspot. It will use your existing wireless chipset so there shouldn't be a need to buy anything new.
