Symantec has provided this free removal tool to clean the following infections from a Windows PC...

W32.Esbot.D

You will need to have administrator rights if running this tool in Windows XP. You should disable the System Restore service temporarily before starting. Once the scan has completed and the removal is finished, reboot your computer and run the tool again to ensure that your computer is clean.

This program will terminate any infected process, delete any associated files on the HDD related to it, and will clean any suspicious registry entries associated with it.

When the scan is complete, reboot your machine and run it again to be sure.
