The Padlock v4.1

Vista / Win7 / Win8 / WinXP
The Padlock is a tool you can use to lock and hide files, folders, pictures and so on.

You can lock files with simple drag and drop actions. When a file is locked, it cannot be renamed, deleted or executed in Windows.

In that way, The Padlock can provide you with a simple solution to protect your files from prying eyes and stop accidental deletion.

Still, the program should not be used as a substitute for strong file encryption for the most sensitive of data, as there are likely ways to get access to the data even if The Padlock is running, if you know what you are doing.
