WIA-Loader is a tool you can use to aid in the transmission of pictures from a digital camera or flash storage to your PC.
It will structure your photo collection nicely to avoid clutter and can automatically rotate images to their correct orientation if EXIF data is present. You can embed GPS data into your photos too.
You also have the option to make HTML photo galleries to put up on the web.
NOTE: This zipped portable version includes no installer.
