Parkdale (Mac) is a freeware tool that measures the read and write speeds of your hard disk drives, CD/DVD drives and network servers.

The program has three different modes for measurements...
  • QuickAccess: Single click speed test using the filesystem.
  • FileAccess: The test data is read from/written into a normal file using the filesystem.
  • BlockAccess: The test data is read from/written onto the disk directly without using the filesystem.
