Samsung turns phone into video workstation

Samsung turns phone into video workstation Samsung is releasing a new phone in Sourth Korea which will have not only a video camera, but also basic video editing capabilities.

The SCH-B750, which will also have a built in mobile TV receiver, will not only be able to create videos, but will also be capable of uploading them to video sharing sites.

The video camera will create videos at a resolution of 352x288 with internal editing features that include adding captions and audio. It also boasts a 8GB internal hard drive as well as accepting MicroSD flash memory cards. In addition, it boasts TV out capabilities.

The display swivels 90 degrees, making the phone appear feel more like a camera, and it's even being marketed as a "Camcorder Phone."

It will be sold through SK Telecom and will cost around 600,000 won ($655).

The MPAA will love this one. Pirates will now be able to create crappy quality CAMs of movies with a harmless looking cell phone.

Bah how pointless, you could get a nice cheaper Nokia which records at VGA and just upload the video to you PC with a handy cable.

Nokia 6275i from Virgin Mobile(Canada). Only $150.00! 2 MP camera, 4x zoom, video and voice recorder, radio, and mp3!

I'm sorry but why would I buy this, digital cameras (good ones) are less expensive and can take video, it's just not worth it, even the iphone is cheaper.

well everything is more expensive in korea.. so if the phone came here, which it will never do it would cost a little less.

maybe around 550.

but agreed. this is a cool idea, but the quality of the video sucks so i would never even use it. But 8 gigs is nice. Its a good start and a good idea.
