On a DVD-Video compilation, a Cell is a clip of video that can be of any length. Usually Cells are segments of Chapters, but not always. Using DVD Navigation, a user can jump between Cells present in different Titles.
The term "Cell" in relation to Gaming Consoles
The Cell processor is used to power Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3) console. It is a small but powerful chip, capable of reaching speeds of 4Ghz. It is small enough to power even mobile phones.
