Digital Media Server

A Digital Media Server (DMS) is a DLNA device, classed as a Home Network Device.

As the name suggests, a Digital Media Server is a device that stores and provides digital content to another device, such as Digital Media Player (DMP).

Small media servers that are sold in electronics stores are often DLNA-certified DMS devices. You can tell if they are by checking for a DLNA-Certified logo on the packaging.
