Place Shifting

In digital entertainment, Place Shifting is a term used to describe the process of making content available anywhere through any means even if it is usually only available in one location. For example, a system where a user of a good mobile phone provider network can access the Internet, contact their home entertainment equipment and watch videos stored on their computer or even watch live broadcasts form their cable. Place Shifting as a term is not thrown around as often as Time Shifting yet, but expect to hear it more often in the near future.
