AfterDawn: Glossary


GodMode is a hidden feature within the Windows 7 operating system that allows users to access all of the control panels from inside a single folder.

In order to access GodMode all you need to do is create a new folder and name that folder with the text shown in italics below.


Once you have done this the folder's icon will change to resemble a control panel and will contain access to many control options.

GodMode is also said to work with Windows Vista although it is reported that it can cause the 64-bit version of the operating system to crash.
