Go China! The MPAA can be burned alive, shot in the knees, and then stabbed to death.
Boy do I hate the MPAA.

What is this?
If you won't take 'our' flood of childishly shallow instantly forgettable movies it's "unacceptable", now is it!?
Like who the f*ck cares what the MPAA thinks is "acceptable" anyway?
Idiots.

your forgetting america thinks it rules the world, or is that just george bush. the chinese are right america needs them more than they need america, thats why america will never go to war with iran over the nuclear testing. iran has chinas backing and america cant afford to lose chinas exported good.

china isnt gonna give a ****. everything in american is pretty much made in china or somewhere in asia. if the US even DARES to do anything to china they could push back and stop making all of the goodies the US needs. so GO china. the MPAA deserves to die

Hehe, it's cool. Jet Li stopped making movies anyway so we don't need china to watch our bullcrap. Kinda sucks though for chinese citizens who may like american cinema (it's not all bad, lets be honest).

but noprotein, china is a hotbed for piracy. they'll find all american films bootlegged on the streets and buy them for like a few dollars. so they aren't really loosing that much. lol

I am surprised they are not more concerned with this block of their crap movies.
According to Glickman the MPAA is more concerned (duh!) with their garbage films getting pirated then actually being shown in the country.
If the films are being shown, even if the vast majority of it is pirated, that means they are making some sort of money on the few that do not pirate the movies. With how big China is even if an extremely small percentage of people buy the movies that should cause a decent-sized boost to the MPAA's bottom line.
In my opinion they should be very concerned with this blockade.
Peace

I'm sure the Chinese pirates have other ways to obtain releases besides CAM recordings. After all, they do have internet access. Someone eles CAM release is probably just as good.

Yeah but if the new American films aren't being advertised there then I don't think many people are going to be buying pirated versions of new American films.

I've been to China twice and see that they are really "big time" and probably will have their own MPAA and RIAA soon enough. The big cities like Shanghai,Bejing and HongKong make our big cities look puny. They will probably surpass our movie industry and forget what happens in Hollywood. They need their own government to kiss-butt for their own version of MPAA and RIAA including the graft, stupidity, greed etc. (like the way out legislators fall all over the MPAA/RIAA)

////it is unacceptable that China has taken this action and we will bring all our resources and leverage to bear to address this situation.\\\\
LOL. Just that statement alone makes me hate the MPAA. I suppose now they will say that NOT buying their dvd's is illegal too :-) haha
Stupid nazis.
