Recording Industry Association of America, represents major record labels in the United States and fights againts piracy, lobbies in Congress pushing forward laws that benefit recording industry, etc.
Similiar organization to RIAA, but which works internationally, is called IFPI.
RIAA likes it from behind, just a rumor I heard...

WELL, AS A MUSICIAN MYSELF, ITS A TOUGH SPOT. BUT THE RIAA has known for years that the internet has changed everything and they have spent no money on creating new ways of doing things. there method is litigation as opposed to research.

The RIAA is trying to protect the music artists. What is so wrong with that? So, they shut down your favorite piration tool. Is this really so bad? Why not just buy the friggin' CD instead of whining that you deserve it for free. Sucks though when your original is destroyed, and all three backup hard drives crash within the same week...
