Plextor offers new CD/DVD duplication towers

23 March 2008 18:26 by James "Dela" Delahunty | 6 comments

Plextor offers new CD/DVD duplication towers Plextor announced earlier this month availability of the one-touch-operation PlexTower series of CD/DVD disc duplication towers, designed as small footprint, slim profile towers to deliver high-quality recording for low-volume applications. The duplicators feature 18X DVD and 48X CD recording speeds making it possible to record either 8 DVDs or 22 CDs in an hour per drive -- useful for a small business.

In addition to DVD video, the drives also support dual-layer DVD-R/+R and DVD-ROM recording. Prassi Zulu 2 disc mastering software is included, while a simple interface and LCD readout make it easy to perform common functions like copy and verify.

The PlexTower series features three different models; the single-drive PlexTower PX-DTS100, a three-drive PlexTower PX-DTS-300, and a seven-drive PlexTower PX-DTS-700. The USB 2.0 interface is used for simple connectivity and reliable data throughput with computers running either Windows (2000/XP/VISTA) and Apple Macintosh.

"The new disc duplication towers from Plextor are targeted at medium- and small-size businesses that want an easy way to make data backups, distribute content, or provide copying services," said Toru Nakazawa, president of Plextor LLC. "Just like every other Plextor product, the PlexTower series devices are reliable and stable, and produce high quality recording results at an affordable price."

PlexTower PX-DTS100: $365.00
PlexTower PX-DTS100: $599.00
PlexTower PX-DTS100: $999.00

oh yeah right - only small businesses would buy these - the type of small business that sells cds and dvds on ebay from china lol

it makes me laugh the MPAA et al hunting down individual file sharers who do it for fun and friendship and no profit when at the same time there are multi national corporations providing the real pirates all the tools they need to sell illegal products on every street corner.

Actually there are an incredible amount of legitimate businesses who sell self-made content, whether its educational tutorials or otherwise. The market for DVD extends far beyond Hollywood as its a disc format... "DVD-Video" is a video format. An interesting read for you would be the latest version of DVD Demystified!

You got your model numbers wrong at the bottom of the news item where you have quoted the prices.
