Psystar, the infamous Apple clone maker and public enemy number one for Apple at this time, has revealed in a blog post that it is working on ensuring the recently released OS X Snow Leopard operating system will run on its products. However, it has urged users not to attempt to upgrade to the new operating system yet until Psystar can confirm a safe way to install the new operating system.
"We ask you not attempt to install the new OS X as it may cause harm to your computer, resulting in a possible re-installation of Leopard OS 10.5 and a loss of data. As with all previous software updates to the OS, Psystar meticulously tests and retests all software updates to confirm their compatibility with older Psystar machines."
Apple has requested that a California judge order a 30 day re-opening of discovery in the case between both companies, so that it can obtain Psystar's Snow Leopard-related source code.
