This sounds preety interesting whe will it come out?

Sounds futile... when will it be cracked? I say 7 days from intial release... I wonder if the money invested into DRM and copy protection is greater than what their losses would be to actual piracy. Developing these methods and software cant be cheap and yet they still try.... oh well

If this is at all like the formats used for PC games it's bound to flop, as it sounds. I own Nero 7 but really wouldn't need to as their are hacks for it all over the place. Wouldn't you think they could secure their own product before trying to move into other areas. I sure wouldn't need this feature and if I was going to sell software why wouldn't I use some of the existing formats. I must say though that if it comes with the standard packages it could be a selling point.

Sony tied disc encoding, it was cracked the same day they brought it out.

Most of Nero's products get cracked. This will not be any different. Its just a matter of time. Although would be interesting to have security like so.

The point is not that it is fail safe (can't be hacked), the point is that it makes it harder for people gain access. Just like a locked door, it won't keep people out if they real want in, but it will make it harder for them. They have have the determination, the time, the skills\knowledge, and the tools. That will turn away 98% of the people. That is the goal such systems.

if its so safe then people will look for alternatives, nothings gonna stop us from doing what we want, Nero is just gonna lose customers thats all.
