Petition against CBDTPA -- SIGN UP NOW!

Now the CBDTPA (formerly known as SSSCA) became an official bill in the U.S.A. and we want YOU and everybody you know, to oppose it.
If this bill would become a law, it would mean that all digital devices and tools sold in the U.S. would have to contain a copy-protection mechanism -- including your PC, your PDA, your MP3 player, your DVD player, your operating system, etc. Using a device/OS without copy-protection would be illegal. So, bye-bye personal copies, bye-bye fair use. And obviously consumers would have to pay for this by pouring more money to their hardware because of hardware manufacturers' expenses would skyrocket when they would have to implement the copy-protection mechanism.
