DVD to XviD with AC3 audio guide added!

Ok, it took couple of hectic days to finish this baby, but here it is. A brand new guide for ripping DVD movies into XviD format with AC3 surround audio.

The guide aims to produce best possible quality and is intended solely for 2CD rips -- using AC3 audio with 1CD rips is totally pointless, unless the movie is really, really short.

But if you have any comments and improvement ideas about the guide, please don't hesitate to tell us. If you have questions -- post the questions to forums, not to this news item.

This looks good as the main problem before when re-encoding a DVD into DivX/XVid was losing surround sound. I'd wonder if there is also a 5.1 directshow OGG codec out there. Although I can get hold of a utility to encode into 6 channel OGG, the OGG Directshow Codec I have only decodes into the front two channels where as AC3 comes from all 5 speakers & the Sub.
