3.1 is the last version of DVDShrink

Written by Lasse Penttinen @ 12 Jan 2004 8:43

Couple of days ago we were happy to announce the new DVDShrink 3.1. A long delay between updates and the fact that the author of Shrink now works on Nero Recode made many of us believe that the author would have abandoned the software.
But now the author of DVDShrink announces that 3.1 will be the last major release of DVDShrink. He promises bug fixing updates, but discontinues further development or adding new features.

This is bad news of course, as DVDShrink despite being freeware is one of the highest quality DVD compressed domain transcoders. Understandable though, since the author is working on Nero Recode which is a commercial implementation of the software.
