Italian eDonkey sites shut down Italian police has shut down one of the most important eDonkey/eMule sites in Italy, Enkeywebsite.net, on February 5th. Soon after the bust other similar Italian sites went down voluntarily.
At the time of writing the site is displaying an official statement from the economics crime unit, Guardia Di Finanza, of Italian police, notifying that the site has been taken down and confiscated pending criminal investigation.

The site offered links to files shared on eDonkey/eMule network. While most of the content on eMule network is pirated, linking to the content is usually considered to be legal.
