Written by Petteri Pyyny @ 01 Mar 2004 16:12

Koepi's binary version of XviD codec has been updated to XviD v1.0 RC 3 and the final 1.0 release should be just around the corner.
For those of you who don't know what XviD is, it is an open source MPEG-4 codec that produces awesome picture quality. The changelog for the release is rather compressed, but here it is anyway:
  • Bitrate calculator fixes
  • Status window fixes (-> GMCed frames get counted)
  • Decoder fixes
  • Workaround for dev-api-3 non-mod16 encodes
  • Mod4 / YV12 resolutions encoding fixed
  • Multilanguage installer
