Nero 6.6 delayed until 28th of October Ahead Software has delayed the launch of the Nero 6.6 to the 28th of October. Craig Campbell of Ahead USA and also a member here, posted briefly some information to the forum of the CDRLabs.
Sorry, the date has been pushed back to October 28th now due to some delays in developing certain features.
And the H.264 support for Nero Digital's MPEG-4 Encoding will more than likely not be available till End of November. We are working hard to finish development sooner, so its possible there will be an earlier release of H.264 support, but do not count on it till end of November.
...
We are calling this new build to be posted officially on Oct. 28 the Nero 6.6 Reloaded.

And using this new Short-Lead out there is a possibility that some stereo's will have trouble playing Audio CDs, but we've yet to see it.

And yes, Nero 6.6 will contain a new version of Nero Vision Express 3. And a new version of Nero Recode 2.1, but without the H264 Encoder not due out till End of November.

I aquired a copy of Nero 6.6 (cough, cough) a couple of weeks ago, and it is working fine. Admittedly, I don't use some of the oesoteric features.

I think the vcopy that you got is an OEM version. I haven't seen any retail version offered by ahead.

It ain't an OEM copy. It has not been officially released yet. Bitorrent came to the rescue.

In fact it was uploaded today on Nero USA's web site.
