QuickTime Alternative will allow you to play QuickTime files without having to install the official QuickTime Player.

All QuickTime formats (.mov .qt .3gp etc.) are supported, including streaming content and QuickTime content that is embedded in webpages.

Some advantages compared to QuickTime player:

The only difference between the regular and lite versions is that the lite version does not include Media Player Classic.

QuickTime Alternative Lite (QT7 based) v1.76

Complements Real Alternative very nicely. I already had Media Player Classic included with that download, and didn't need another copy of it, so chose this "Lite" version.

Easily installed and works great on embedded Quicktime content on webpages viewed in Firefox.
