This is an old version of this software. You can also download v2.5.0.0 (latest stable version).

ImgBurn is a light-weight, free software that can write most types of CD / DVD images and supports all the latest writers (including booktype / bitsetting on many of the major ones - i.e. BenQ, LiteOn, NEC, Plextor, Sony).

You can even use ImgBurn to erase / format your rewritable media!

With the release of ImgBurn v2.0.0.0, "Build" mode has been added allowing you to use ImgBurn to create ISO images from files on your hard drive, or burn them directly to a disc, making ImgBurn even more superb software.

ImgBurn will try its very best to burn your DVD-Video double layer images using the layer break you've specified in the IFO files, but it can also calculate the best place for you, to save you the trouble.

Advanced functionality can be found in context menus that appear when you right click on various bits of the user interface. Can you find them all??!!

Please Note: You may get a 'PECompact' virus warning from your AntiVirus software. This is a false alarm and will hopefully be fixed when they update their definition files. 'PECompact' is merely a compression program.

The only burning software I use. Once I started to use this, I have never gone back to Nero. Imgburn is a lot more user friendly for all users alike. Plus it's free.

well used image burn and in my opinion ill take dvd decrypter anyday, image burn had way to many read errors on numerous disks while dvd decrypter had none on the same disks, stick with what has proven itself for many years and thats free DVD DECRPTER. also if you find a copy of it save it, there getting hard to find now

Great app. This is free. I use it to back up files and folders. I also use it to burn and make ISOs .

I can not give a good review on ImgBurn. I have ended up with AVS Video Converter 6. You then end up having to activate a Non-Activeted version and this will end up costing you $39 a year! Very missleading. Regards Tomass

Can't recommend this enough!! I dont make copies everday, just backups here and there. But if theres any problems with this software, I havent found it!

Good software, allows me to burn my iso files without any glitches. Also useful for DVD backup of DVDs that I've bought and paid for.

This is the best! I've used just about everything and this beats 'em all. By far the most reliable burning software I've ever used. I have removed Roxio, Nero, and all the rest. I kept the NTI software only because it came bundled with my laptop and has some nice features that I use occasionally. But 99.9% of the time it's ImgBurn! Take the time to get used to it and learn it and you won't be sorry. (But it's also very easy to use right off the bat, no tweaks required.) Try it, you'll like it!

best img burning software ive come across and ive tried alot of burning software the verifaction is never wrong and ive never had a failed disc yet and ive burnt hundreds of discs with this i totally recommend this and its free so u cant argue with it

i've tried using it and every time it comes up with some error. maybe its be. keeps saying at like 70% that something is incompatible. only thing its good for is wasting my dvds.

Great program. It has way more features than I know how to use right now. It is a simple program and there is a forum where you can view guides for it and make suggestions for the next version he releases.

Great software from LIGHTNING UK! Works great with DVD Rebuilder's ISO files and my Plextor burner. I don't even use my Nero to burn DVD's anymore,ImgBurn gives me more consistent burns. It would be great to see Lightning continue developement on this program to include burning other types of files.

On three occasions it failed to write sectors, but on retries each time it completed copy.DVDDecrypter had no problem with same file. Would like to see eject tray after read, as you have eject after write. Will give more time on other files.
