Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Read more about the update and let us know what you think!

Total Commander v7.50a

Shareware
Win2k / Win95 / Win98 / WinME / WinNT / WinXP

Total Commander is a file manager for Windows, a program like Windows Explorer to copy, move or delete files. However, it can do much more than Explorer, e.g. pack and unpack files, access ftp servers, compare files by content, etc.

Total Commander has internal unpackers for ZIP, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ,CAB, RAR and ACE formats and also additional packers can be added as plugins. The build-in FTP client supports most public FTP servers and is able to resume aborted downloads, handle archives and can send files directly from one remote server to another. Total Commander has a lot of nice features that will help in file handling tasks as well.

  Total Commander v6.54 Beta 1

Been using Total Commander since it was called Windows Command. Have found this software to be indispensable. I use it everyday. It is my menu, its how I navigate my system, move files (not copy and delete) search files, make & delete directories, check contents of zipped files without opening the zip file, using the drive icons - changing directories and having 2 directories side by side, drag files from one to the other (copy or move)rename files, etc...etc...
In the DOS days, similar to a file called StupenDos, but this is for Windows.
I can't work without it (Never had enough patience to fool with Windows Explorer and I don't need to) and do not want to work without it. There is a built in file viewer and you can name a file editor ( I use Notepad ). Also launch files - double click the file name, double click a .doc file to start Word, .xls to start Excel etc.. etc..
Suggest you download from the home page:
