This is an old version of this software. You can also download v3.0.8.01200 (latest stable version) or v3.1.9.6070 Pre RC 4 (latest beta version).

Locate saves names of all files in your hard drives to file database. Once the files are stored in the database, it's faster to search and locate the needed files, as you don't have to use Windows search functionality, which is slow and annoying at times. Locate is fast, and the program works like updatedb and locate in Unix systems.
