I guess eMULE is the thing you want, but eMULE was unstable in my computer. I guess that's because it's an old computer that corrupts data. I originally had Limewire, but Limewire is connected to the Gnutella network and this network seems to be pretty much dead. I then tried Shareaza. Shareaza connects to all sorts of networks that are very much alive, but I had a real problem with the upload/download ratio. I was giving and giving and giving while receiving very little. The upload/download ratio was unacceptable to me. Then I tried Ares Galaxy - and I just don't see any problems with it that are really worth mentioning. (A B+ from a person who focuses on the negative. lol) I do upload a bit more than I download, but I'm a giver, by nature, and the ratio is quite acceptable to me. Plus I'm able to acquire what could be called "rare files". I don't know what network Ares connects to, be it seems to be far from dead. <br/> <br/>eMULE might be better, but if you can't get that to work for you - then - based upon what I know - I would recommend this. <br/> <br/>It has been pointed out to me that something like uTORRENT is actually more anonymous, but you might have access to files with Ares that you can't find going to places like The Pirate Bay.

Great for videos of any kind. Blows for music. I prefer frostwire myself

I'm a long time user of ares and this version alright. its easy to get current mp3's and good porn clipz. I havent tried the bit torrent extension yet though as I use azureas.

Only thing I believe it lacks is full cd's, to download at once. Everything else is amazing. Usually, getting atleast 50kbs a second...and on bittorrent....seems like im struggling to get that all the time...although i do get highest on bit torrent.... also, good for hard to find movies...you can atleast get them at a decent speed

Ares is the S**t!!

I was wondering why my Ares wouldn't connect... ti9me for another new version!

This remains my favorite p2p program, for security if nothing else.

Somewhat lacking in content, due to limited popularity.
