very very nice video converter indeed. handles even high codec's such as H.264 and xvid and divx even at high FPS such as 60 even in super high bitrates that 1080P is very customizable menu's but could be more so. updates happen very often especially if ur have access to the beta's. It converts at extraordinary rates on both dual and quad cores works well with vista and is friendly with x64 operating systems and is extremely stable. can be set not to affect ur ability to use the pc while it converts a nice features (setting priority) can also pause the convert at any time and continue exactly where it left off...but be warned when u do pause it takes a while for the convertx to gain momentum in converting speed. any bugs in the application are generally fixed within 3 weeks if not sooner (if u have access to beta). if ur pc is slow (single core) generally a convert will take above a hour on dual about 20-40 minutes on quad about 15-10 minutes. overall: the application is fast user friendly easy to use and is quiet fast at converting and is extremely stable on almost any windows OS requires alot of ram and cpu power though but most pc's in todays world can provide it. very nice application i recommend it to everybody and i use it on a daily basis without a issue.

This link does not download the latest version (v3.0.0.13). Please sort it Afterdawn. This is the best DVD converter software you can get. Cinema Craft Encoder simply doesn't work in Windows Vista.

I seem to be having a problem with the burning part of this software on the older versions it worked well, it seems to be that the discs aren't finalizing properly, I'm not alone there are other reports about it

5 out of 5! The best bit of software I have ever purchased for encoding dvd video. dont look anywhere else if your looking for simplicity, ease of use and excellent results. Impressed by menus, chapters, inclusion of music on menus!

Simply the best converting app i have come across and i search the web everyday for a converting tool of some kind it supports so many formats x264 xvid divx mkv mp4 windows recorded tv show(windows media center recorded tv) it supports every format except 1 vcd witch is a pour format anyway it supports even super high birate video's like a x264 ac3 mkv 720p video even 1080p video(High defiention) best of the best if u can find better tell me because so far its been impossible for me 10/10 from me and i dont give many of them

Excellent and reliable tool for converting nearly all video formats to DVD. Burns direct to disc if required. For best results use the High Quality setting, slow encoding (it's still much faster than any of the competition). Customisable DVD menus and ease of use makes this the best there is.

This is a good app. I've used it for a while now. Results are usually very good especially if encoding is set to high quality - slow speed. Normal film takes about an hour to encode and burn. 5 star.

The best software for straightforward conversion of most video formats to DVD. Converts and burns directly to disc. Includes customizable menu (there is scope for improvement here). Very reliable and good quality results. Be sure to run through the options menu before use to get the best out of it.

Did not do anything at all but make some noise. Behaved as though I had no disk in the working disk drive. Disk has worked elsewhere, so not that either.

new version allows to convert a NTSC DVD into a PAL DVD, and that's very useful because I have tons of movies bought from USA. new version supports Real Video and MKV formats which is nice addition too. Quality is awesome!

I think this program is GOOD (but the TMPGencode Autor is much better. Sometimes the both combination result greats. menu autor is poor. And the options:FORMATO ( is a not inteligent option) ; CODIFICATION : (double pass?)I don't think so. ; AUDIO : I need more posibilities(Like more bitrate and decides what specific frame rate uses, not aproximation). Anyway, is a GOOD Soft (a little poor, because is not freeware)

Everything about this software is great...except its sync issues. Recently I tried to produce a DVD of TV episodes, with a nice menu. I threw everything together, hit start, and went to sleep. I woke up excited to try my new DVD, and it started out great. Perfect picture, perfect sound...and then something went wrong. The sound just kept shifting and shifting until it was unbearable Aside from that issue, it seems like a great program. Although it could use some work in the menu making error, and I would suggest an option to disable the video while encoding

This is better than many one-click converters, but still poor in some respects. Occasionaly glitches in picture quality do appear in the finished DVD and the overall picture quality is high contrast and brash looking. Subtitles also glare around their edge. ConvertXtoDVD inteprets source material well and makes the right decisions on how to transcode it. But the results are still not good enough.

For anyone suffering audio lag, I recommend downloading the free program avimux, which can be downloaded from here: <a href="http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=163" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=163</a> It is very easy to use, you drag and drop the files you want to convert into its interface, press the generate data source button and it will tell you if there is a built in audo lag and allow you to fix it. It takes seconds to do and then you can convert the files with vso and no more audio lag.

Excellent software, solid performance. Converts vitually anything into high quality DVD at extremely fast speeds. Great user interface and options for tweaking to your needs. Only con is the high price of this new version. Overall, highly recommended.

I have used this program for conversion of downloaded movies in AVI format to DVD format and the only comlaint that i have so far is that the sound lags behind the picture. If they every get this corrected this program will be unbeatable. Overall the picture is excellent quality if you can get used to watching a movie that looks like those old poorly dubbed chinese flicks

I love this software its my fav. as i usually have a few files that i want on dvd, and its quick and has great quality when converted. One bad thing is its not free :( But hey most GOOD software has to be payed for after its free stage :)

The fastest DVD encoder I've seen. And with great quality. If you want menus, download VOBmerge, join all the VOBs made, get Xmuxer, demux the one joined VOB to a .ac3 and a .m2v and then use a different authoring prog for the menus.
