AfterDawn How To: The Hardware Section
The following guide will help to explain the latest feature of your AfterDawn experience, the Hardware section. The idea behind the hardware section is to provide a database of specific consumer electronics categories related to AfterDawn.com. The aim is to provide a service to both existing owners of devices and to those thinking about purchasing a new device. There are ratings systems, links to e-tailers carrying the product, as well as (usually) complete specifications and pictures of the product.
Getting Started
The first step, although very simple, is learning how to get to the Hardware section :)
Once you have logged in to your AfterDawn account you will most likely be at the My Account page or the Homepage. From here it is very easy to get to the Hardware section, given you know where to look. Underneath the banner logo there is a row of tabs for different sections of the site. Hardware is third from the right. Click on it and you will be redirected to the Hardware section. You can also simply type in http://www.afterdawn.com/hardware/ into your web browser
Hardware Section
The Hardware section home page is pretty straightforward.
There are different sections for different types of hardware, as well as a Search feature, and an updated Most popular devices section, which lists the "last week's most popular devices in our hardware section."
Please note that for the examples in this guide I will be using the very popular Nokia N95 mobile phone.
On the next pages I will teach you how to find the hardware of your choosing, as well as how to rate the product, submit updated technical information on the product and even how to purchase the item through e-tailers.
