Oggdrop Vorbis v1.0

Freeware
Linux / Win2k / Win95 / Win98 / WinME / WinNT / WinXP
Ogg Vorbis is a new audio compression format. It is roughly comparable to other formats used to store and play digital music, such as MP3, VQF, AAC, and other digital audio formats. It is different from these other formats because it is completely free, open, and unpatented.

At current state Ogg is already outperforming MP3 in terms of sound quality. It has some very intelligent features, like the lossless channel coupling (joint stereo). Because it is totally free, anyone can utilize in their own projects - software or hardware!

Is this the "MP3 killer"?

This is a simplified drag-n-drop GUI version.
