BurnAtOnce is the first freeware CD/DVD authoring tool we’ve seen on the Win32 platform. Actually the software is a frontend to various high quality components: cdrdao, ddump, mad (mpeg audio decoder), etc.
BAO gives you a fairly slick interface and good basic features. You can create audio & data discs, read discs to image files, burn image files (.bin/.cue., .iso), erase CD-RW disc and so on. So the feature set is actually pretty nice.
An interesting project, but it still needs development. Even at it’s current state it is a very snappy tool for doing some basic CD-R tasks and most importantly it is free.
Nothing I tried worked until this, even let me burn (without errors) an 750 megabyte file to a 700 megabyte cd. I don't know how they did this, but it's definitely very good software, especially if you take into consideration that it's free.
what a pile of crap, noone mentioned this prog does not support dvd+ burners or discs, was looking for a good data disc prog to replace nero, checked burnatonce site and found this info, what a let down,
Forget the dickhead above calling it crap. This is a low harddrive requirement CD burning application. It may not have all the bells and whistles of something like Nero, and the fact you have to create your folders, it's still a solid program. It's also very fast to load and never crashes. Piss on the dickhead above.
What a brilliant little programme - after trying all ways of burning bin and cue to disc this was the only programme that did the job properly - first time - and in 2mins 13 seconds. Wonderful. (Takes next to no time to install either). Goodbye Nero & Daemon Tools....
Was a life saver for creating CDs for a much needed downloaded data set. Did not work initially (weird errors) but had needed CD's (2) within 1 hour after downloading. I have WinXPMCE2K5 on a Dell 8400 with all the latest updates (SP2).
