Capture Fox is a lightweight add-on for the Mozilla Firefox web browser that allows screen capturing of video playing in Firefox, recoding both video and sound of the video to a separate file.
It is made simple and easy to use, and starting recording takes only two clicks. Supported Firefox versions are 2.0 and 3.0 or above, so either of these must be installed. Capture Fox allows screencapture in .avi format with Mjpg video codec and WAV audio codec. Capture Fox allows the adjustment of video quality, but the framerate stays the same regardless of quality selected. This little addon is a good tool for making screencasts and tutorials for websites for example. It has been developed by Zafer Gürel of Advancity and has been released July 12nd 2008 on the Mozilla Add-ons site.
