The tool replaces ZeroVulnerabilityLabs' ExploitShield application. It runs in the background on Windows and monitors popular applications for exploit attempts. This could be, for example, an attempt to exploit the Adobe Flash plug-in in a web browser by a maliciously crafted website that targets a bug in the software.
Anti-Exploit can even prevent exploit attempts of vulnerabilities that are still unknown to the software vendor.
It does not require regular signature/definitions updates, and it consumes very little system resources. It should not conflict with anti-virus or other similar applications.
Software it protects includes:
- Mozilla Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Internet Explorer
- Adobe Acrobat
- Adobe Reader
- Foxit Reader
- Microsoft Office Word
- and more..
While it is a useful tool it should not be used as an alternative to keeping your operating system, applications, browsers and plug-ins up to date with the latest security patches.
NOTE: Listed as freeware while the software is still in beta.
