One of the world's largest book publishers sued OpenAI for copyright infringement

Penguin Random House has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, accusing the AI company of copyright infringement. The lawsuit stems from ChatGPT's ability to generate content resembling works from a popular children's book series without permission. 03 Apr 2026
